350 Local Students Receive New Shoes from Hertz Employees

             ESTERO, Fla. (July 18, 2016) – Three hundred and fifty children in need will start the 2016-2017 school year with a new pair of shoes thanks to employees at Hertz headquarters, in Estero.

Over several weeks, Hertz employees filled the trunk of a new 2016 Hertz Shelby GT-H Mustang, on display in the corporate headquarters’ lobby, with 350 pairs of sneakers and donated them to Laces of Love, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing new shoes to low-income and disadvantaged children in our local communities. Laces of Love will distribute the sneakers to public schools in early August to support students in need in Lee and Collier Counties.

“It is difficult to believe that many children receive their first pair of new shoes from Laces of Love,” said Beth Davis, public affairs manager for Hertz. “We are excited to be part of helping local youth and look forward to continuing to help make a difference in our community.”
